H2oadventures loves all things outdoors and with so many activites to try we have created our very own Bell tent activity weekends in Dorset. Our Bell tent site based in Wareham is situated in a woodland setting giving you the real outdoor experience. East stoke is situated in the heart of the Purbecks giving us access to many great destinations in Dorset including Swanage, Kimmeridge, Lulworth, Ringstead, Studland, and Poole Harbour . This allows us to create the perfect adventure for you to enjoy. The UNESCO world heritage sites of Old harry rocks and Durdle door are right on our door step and can be part of your stay with H2oadventures.
Bell tents in Dorset
Our Bell tents are 5mx5m which allows you to sleep 6 persons comfortably and giving you space within the tent. Each of our Bell tents comes fitted with an electric hook up which is perfect for all your phones and other electrical goods that need charging so you can take plenty of photos of your adventures on the Jurassic coast. Sleep in comfort with our camp beds inside your Bell tent. You only need to bring your own bedding and pillows. We will keep the tents same sex unless you have specifically booked as a group. Single tents are availale on request.
On site toilets and showers gives your stay that extra comfort . We have fire pits for you to use during your stay and who doesn't love to sit around the camp fire in the evening after a fun day of activites in Dorset.
Kayaking along the Jurassic coast
Dorset has some of the best coastline in the country and what better way to explore the coastline that holds millions of years of history including the dinosaurs which is how it got its name of the Jurassic coast. H2oadventures loves all things kayaking and we love to take you out on our kayaking adventures in Dorset. With our sit in kayaks you get the real experience . All H2oadventures kayaking guides are British canoeing qualified giving you the best day out on the water while being in safe hands.
Dorset has many locations to set off on our kayaking adventures during your Glamping adventure including Studland bay which is home to the UNESCO world heritage site of Old harry rocks during a trip here you will get to kayak through the arch which has been carved through time by the waves and once connected to the isle of wight. You will get to find out the history of this amazing site while out on your kayaking trip.
Poole Harbour is the perfect location for a days kayaking or canoeing with over 14 square miles to explore you can be sure to keep coming back again and again. We can set off from various locations around Poole Harbour including Bramble bush bay, Sandbanks, Rockley and Wareham with the River Frome ending up in Poole Harbour. Poole Harbour is home to Brownsea island and the largest island within the Harbour . You will get to paddle around the island getting to see it from all sides and learn all about the history of this great island.
Ringstead is the destination for our Durdle door trip which sees us setting off from Ringstead and kayaking along the Jurassic coast Passing the Ringstead ledges and on to a series of rock hopping and caves to navigate until we reach the iconic Durdle door archway. With the right sea conditions you will be able to kayak through the arch and get the perfect photo and souvenier of your stay in Dorset.
All our Kayaking trips are dependant on weather conditions, Sea conditions and the groups abilities we will get the opportunity during your stay to plan each trip the evening before.
Join us at our adventure camp and our purpose built Axe throwing alley. Axe throwing is a great skill to learn and once mastered you will be hitting the bullseye each and every time. We have 2 axe throwing targets allowing you to get plenty of goes when in a group and you will have a member of the team on hand to show you the fine art of Axe throwing. Can you beat your team members in a battle to become the champion thrower of the day. We will have an array of items to hit on the target including balloons and playing cards. Each item becoming harder to hit.
Come and find your inner adventurer at our Bushcraft area built within our adventure camp. This is a place you can learn an array of skills including Fire building with many different ways to build a fire you will find all the pros and cons of each way. Fire lighting is one of the most imortant skills to learn as we all need warmth to survive especially when out in the great outdoors. We will lok at the fire triangle and everything that is connected to it, Various methods of fire lighting and safe methods of fire lighting.
You will need to eat while out camping so cooking on the camp fire is part of our sessions from breads to skinning animals its all part of survival. With our big cooking pots there is the opportuity to cook the evening meal over the camp fire. and we will cater for all dietary requirements.
Knife and axe work is a great skill to learn and we will look at using knifes in the outdoors and how to carve wood.
With so many great sessions we will chose a few for each camp and you will be notified of this on arrrival to the camp. Our Bushcraft area also turns into our fire oit area for a great camp fire into the night to sit around roasting marshmellows and reminisce on the days fun and adventures.
Walking the Jurassic coast
You cant visit Dorset and the Jurassic coastline without heading out along the South west coastal path. During your Adventure in Dorset we will take you on a guided walk with breathtaking views, Epic shorelines and secluded beaches only accessible on foot. Our guided walks will be between 15km-20km and take on some rugged terrain which will require you to wear suitable footwear or walking boots. All of our walks will be on national trails on the ordanance survey maps .
We have so many choices to start and finish our walks we will have a group meeting the evening before our walk to decide on the final location . Our glamping site is perfectly positioned in the Purbecks so we can head off in all directions. Locations such as Swanage, Durlston, Kingston, Kimmeridge, Lulworth, Durdle door, Poole Harbour, Studland and Worth matravers are all within 20 mins of the glamping site.
The Jurassic coast has some amazing views including caves and cliffs look out points and wildlife to keep everyone amazed and amused during our guided walk. H2oadventures will supply maps and compasses during your walk along with teaching you a few navigation skills along the way. Giving you the confidence to head out on your own next time you get the urge to go on an adventure.
H2oadventures Glamping adventures takes the job of feeding you very seriously and a hearty meal in the evening and a good breakfast in the morning is the perfect way to prepare yourself for another days adventure in Dorset. During your stay we will cook an evening meal on each night of your stay which could be either chilli night , Curry night and a much needed BBQ night. All dietary requirements are catered for so please make us aware on booking any personal requirements.
Breakfasts will be a cooked breakfast of bacon sausage and egg rolls with a cereal and toast option. drinks such as tea coffee and juices will be available. Lunches are not included so please bring snaks with you or you may have the opportuity to get lunch while out during the day on activity. No alcoholic drinks are supplied by H2oadventures but feel free to bring your own for the evening camp fire.
